Evaluation.

  • Oct. 4th, 2008 at 5:54 AM
kj :)
I'm not sure if what we have to write here is an evaluation of the subject. Since everyone's writing an evaluation and what grade they are expecting... I'll write mine too!

Well, Communication Research is really a hard subject, challenging, time-consuming, draining and brain damaging. Haha. Seriously, it is. CommRes taught me more than how to write a thesis. To be more patient, hard working, time conscious and... avoid cramming and procrastinating! :)) --those are some values I have learned while doing our thesis.

Thanks to Ms. Rich for all of these learnings. The thesis that we made may be a "baby" but it made as mature -mentally... and physically (the stressful days, nights, weeks and months = eyebaaaags, haggard look. Haha.). As what I have said in our baby thesis' acknowledgement, thank you, Ms. Rich for the motivation to do better in every paper we submit and for recognizing our efforts. :)

All the efforts I have exerted in this subject is not a joke. All those sleepless nights, interview til midnight at Mandaluyong, etc. I sacrificed a lot for our baby thesis. Well, I guess everyone did. For the grade, I say that I deserve anything not lower than 88. :)

It's almost 3am and I'm still up doing this, that, blah. Well, there's nothing new about it, I've been like this for the past weeks. Hah. Still have Theatre class later at 9am and I haven't finalized all the music needed. Yay! It's the last week of this semester before finals. Hooooray! Sem breaaak! :D but before that long awaited break, this week could be the longest week ever!!! Almost all school works are due within this week! Theatre, Thesis, Advertising TVC & PSA, website, storybook, and the list goes on. Hay. Onting tiis na lang and I could stay up late without doing anything. :))

I don't wanna rant on things. These are our responsibilities as Mass Comm students :) it may be though to do the things we are doing simultaneously but I'm enjoying it coz I like what I'm doing :) but there was a time that I just found myself crying because of all the things we have to do with so little time. Pressure! Stressful! Depressing! Hah but I know we can do it :) I just hope that every single effort we've done will pay off! Good grades, pleaaase?

Last LJ entry? Yay. I'll miss LJ-ing.. not coz I'm updating my old LJ again... privately though. :)) K, since this LJ has a cuter username, I might update it still... but privately too! :))

Oh, about the sports fest? I'm glad it's over! We have more time to do stuffs. MassComm is still the champ! MC rocks! \m/

What's up? It has been a while since I last posted here. Hmm… still too busy with school and non-school related stuff. It's already September! --the most stressful month of the school year. Sports pest eh. Oh, I mean sports fest. :))  I’m not really in the mood to write and I don’t think I will ever be until the end of this semester! Hah.

Things have been disappointing, frustrating, mind-bugling, blah, blah, blah the past few weeks. Thanks to Avril Lavigne and Boys like Girls for a khool show! \m/ :))

The Course
Communication Research – for me, it’s the hardest of all the subjects we have this semester. The first thing that entered my mind when I heard these words was baby thesis! The word thesis makes me frown.
L haha. I knew that Comm. Res. would be hard and I was right! Our “baby thesis” doesn’t seem to be a baby. It’s all grown up! Hehe. I have never been so sabaw like I was when we were doing our intensive research! How much more sabaw can I get when we start doing the next steps? Yay! I can imagine! Maybe after this course, we have mastered how to be sabaw-est already! Which is good, I think. It’s a preparation for our mother thesis!

When I was a kid, my tita’s were doing their thesis, and now that I’m doing mine I feel old!!! Haha weird. Wala lang, feeling ko ang tanda ko na kasi nag ti-thesis nako hahaha:)) Anyway, I have never seen DM take a subject this serious (well, aside from Communication Theory with Ms. B) almost everyone is in class before the 7:30am class, wow achievement!
J plus this LiveJournal thing, I find it fun! Aside from the main topic of the course, there are sideline topics that would be a great help for us  J

It’s just the first half of the semester but I could say that I’ve learned a lot, and I know that there’s still a lot to learn as we finish this course.
J

The Teacher
That was early Wednesday morning when I was on my way to our Comm Res classroom in SP building when I saw Ms. Figueroa along the SP benches. That was the first week of classes so new students were wearing civilians. I thought Ms. Figueroa was a new student! Hehe. Seriously. So I was surprised when she entered our room! Prof pala sya! My first impression about her is that she is kind but strict. Just balanced. She’s a good professor, approachable, can get along with her students well and she knows how to stress us! Haha joke lang miss J I know that what you’re doing is also for us. J

Suggestions/Wishes
I hope next time, Ms. Figueroa won’t give us a one-blow tons of work to do with the same deadline. It’s so sabaw-ing! Hehehe. Wishing for a good grade :D

Rant not.

  • Jul. 27th, 2008 at 12:33 AM
kj :)

This would only be short. I don't want to rant about the tons of school work from major and pa-major subjects. It would only make me feel more tired and more sabaw! Besides, there's nothing I could do to stop it from coming! So why not keep it coming and let me rest in peace?! Hah! There are just so many things to do with so little time. Time management, I suck at that. Cramming, my expetise! Haha. But this time, I can't use my expertise! It would kill me. :)) Okay, I said I won't rant.

This week has been very busy for me, for us. As we would maarte-ly say "So hectic the sched!" hahaha! It really is! If I could just be in kindergarten forever!!! I look like one anyway :) haha! Hay. But this is it, we're juniors! So this is how it feels to be a Mass Comm junior. Fun. I just hope that we all do good in everything that we do as a block, a group, partners and as individuals. :) Our hardships will soon pay off! I hope! :) yun oh, postive thinker kunyari! hehe :))

Back to work! Over time, eh? Babayu!!! :D

Sick and Tired.

  • Jul. 20th, 2008 at 2:59 PM
kj :)
I’m not feeling well, I feel like there’s something wrong with me. Not physically but emotionally, psychologically. I’m crazy! Emo! This week has been uh, heart breaking? Frustrating? Draining! There are things that I just can’t get off my mind. It’s really frustrating. I feel so down. The person who I thought would always make me happy is actually the reason why I feel this way. It’s strange how you’re the only one who could make me happy and sad at the same time. You always do.

Our block just came from a retreat few days ago. I consider it as a time to ponder on things, an escape. Escape from reality. From all the school works, problems and all the things I used to do. The talks in our retreat are just striking, bull’s-eye, dude! Almost every word uttered by our facilitator made me say “Ouch!” I know some of you (block mates) did say ouch too! Ehem. I know am not alone in this. We’re all in this together! Haha! Just different cases, but what we need to do is one thing –divert and let’s all be happy together :)

What are the words that made me say ouch in our retreat? –accept, let go, move on and forgive. How I wish that those words are as easy to do as it is said. But yeah, they are way easier said than done. I won’t elaborate on it anymore, it’s understood, I assume. Hay. I don’t know what to do with my life anymore. I mean, where should I go? Where should I start? I just want to be happy. Well, who doesn’t? I’m tired of everything. Why can’t we just be happy? Why do we have to feel hurt, sad, disappointed? Why? :(

I’ve learned from the retreat that we will always get hurt and it’s true that if the ones we love could hurt us, how much more those who don’t? Right? We should… Let go of what’s never meant for us… Sometimes, we have to set things free before it hurts us more badly. –It hurts but it may be the only way. But sometimes, the heart is just hard-headed! It keeps on doing things that should be over and done... The heart has reasons which reasons it doesn’t know.

Okay, enough of the drama and heart talks. Time to use the mind! So much to think of and so much to do for school! Divert!

Studio tour.

  • Jul. 12th, 2008 at 10:45 PM
kj :)

Yesterday we went to ABS-CBN and GMA for a studio tour. It was so much fun and... tiring! Hehe but it was worth it :) especially on ABS, we saw a lot of stuff... from their studios to the control room, editing, after effects/graphics/3D animation and to what they call foley, it's like an audio/dubbing area something. ABS-CBN is so cool, very hi-tech!

Some of the studios we visited in ABS were Umagang Kay Ganda, Pilipinas, Game K N B?, ASAP, Wowowee, The Singing Bee and Wheel of Fortune (my favorite studio!! :]). Plus the newsroom, where all the news program of ABS are compressed in just one studio. The control room makes me feel like am a pilot :)) with all those buttons, a lot of monitors and stick-shift like stuff. Hehe. The editing room is where I'll most probably be after I graduated. Hahaha feeler! There, we saw another control room and a lot of rooms where different shows are edited. We were able to see how they edit "My Girl" and their upcoming show, "Dyosa". Editing looks easy, but I think it's not. I've read the schedule posted beside the door of every editing room, editors shift is every 12 hours. Yay! But still, I want that work! :D next stop was the visual effects area, where all the after effects and 3D are done. Most of the people there are working on "Dyosa" cos I guess 90% of that show is more on graphics. I'm out of there cos it's for creative people. Hah!

After a long day at ABS, we went to GMA. It was just a short tour! We only got to see 3 studios including the newsroom. In one of the studios there was the set of "Imbestigador" and on the other was the set of "Joaquin Bordado". Control room personnel of the news and public affairs of GMA were so funny! Haha. They taught us a bit of how things in that room work. I really want to work in the control room! Hah!

Before the GMA tour, I met up with my tito (my mom's youngest brother) who works there. He just came from a shoot, he's a cameraman. He once told me that I could have my OJT there. Yay I'm excited! :) I've learned a lot from the tour, it makes me wanna fast forward things and work already! Hehe. But it's still a long way to go!

After the tour, Alexa, Macky and I went to... never mind. Hahaha!

Yesterday was fun as well as today. :)

Kk, gotta sleep! I have to wake up early tomorrow for my brother and boyfriend's race (as ef!!! :]])! Hah! :D Goodnight!

Haha! :D Yay!!! :"> okay, I'd rather not talk about it. Haha! I'm just so happy! :) Finally!!!!!! :D

What else? Hale has a gig here in our extension (SM North) next Saturday. Haha! That's the coolest! I miss Champ... and the rest of them. Haha! I haven't seen them since uhm.. forever? Hah ekzaj! :)) and next Sunday is a race day, and race day means I'll get to see my forever crush, and forever crush means... toot toot! Hah! :)) and on Friday, studio tour!!! The most awaited studio tour!!! Right, DM? :D wooot! I'm excited! Yey! That would be a great weekend! Can't wait! :) I just hope that there wouldn't be a lot of home works this week to spoil my weekend! Haha. It's a weekend to look forward to! :D

Okay, now I have to do home works for Radio Production, Comm Research, Catech and Digital Imaging. Whew! Plus, Theatre Production audition on Monday, prepare! Yay! I can't act, I'm better as a sound designer. Bwahaha! :P

Sleepy head! :D

  • Jun. 21st, 2008 at 11:51 PM
kj :)
I just got home from Rachelle's party at Kowloon, West. It was fun as usual! :D I'm currently uploading the pictures on my multiply :) ugh, I'm sleepy! I wasn't able to sleep this afternoon because Keese, Aira and Ninya stayed here at home after our Digital Imaging class (no, I'm not blaming you guys.. *sarcastic* hahaha! loko lang :P). Since the venue is near my place, they decided to spend the afternoon here instead of going home to the mountains. :P

So yeah, I'm sleepy but I'm still writing in here. Hehe. I've noticed that these past few days, I sleep a lot. Like after school, since our class schedule is always a half day, I'm usually home before 3PM. And every time I get home, my routine would be like this... change clothes-eat-fix school stuffs-check online-sleep. Always like that (except for today :P)! Hah. And after sleeping before 4PM, the next thing I know... it's 11PM already! Haha! What do I do after waking up? --look for food (I'm starving by that time! :]])! Then do my home works and... get back to sleep! :)) nagpapalaki ako eh, bakit ba? :) HAHA

Hmm... maybe I'm taking advantage of the situation. I mean, I sleep-all-I-can while home works are not brimming yet and there's still plenty of time to sleep. Hehe, or maybe because last summer I usually sleep-all-day and stay-up-all-night. I rarely had a decent sleep that's why I'm taking back all the sleep I lost. Haha.

Another reason could be this.. or should I say that this IS the reason. Haha. I sleep because it is my way of diverting my thoughts. Blaaah. Sleeping might be my way of fast-forwarding things to shorten the time of waiting, waiting for... never mind. :P

Whatever. Hah! But I guess sleeping too much (or sleeping while everyone's awake! haha) makes me miss some things. Simple things like.. talking about non-sense stuffs and having fun with my brother, the conversation with the Job DJ's over Y!M :)) or just simply watching Singing Bee and singing the correct lines of a song! HAHA. Those little things.

Yay! I have to get back to the normal sleeping time. No time for sleep and lakwatsa this Sunday! There are a lot of home works to do! Yaaaaay! I would miss my brother's race and that Hale gig at SM Marilao. :( oh well, movie night with H family tomorrow at TriNoma, we'll be watching Made of Honor. I hope by that time, I've already finished doing the outline thingy for Theater Prod due on Monday and all the other school stuffs that I have to do! Whew! AJA! :))

I can feel it... the sleepless-nights are coming :))

Blahblahblog.

kj :)
I have a new livejournal account! Yay! It's a requirement in our Comm Research class, one of our major subjects, and we have to update it at least once a week.. So I'm here again :)) the whole block! Yey, fun! :)) I actually have an LJ account before, it's here.. but I opted to make another account instead of using that. Wala lang. ;)) all of my posts there are set into private. So if you're going to click that link, you won't find anything there, just my cute Finch layout and my un-cute user pic! Haha. I don't update it anymore but I do open it once in a while to read my previous entries whenever I feel being nostalgic! Hahaha. Too bad I can't use that Finch layout here, it doesn't work because this new LJ has a new version of blahblah thing haha and I don't know how to customize it. Hehe. So I just got this cute elephant DJ layout somewhere there. I LOVE IT! ♥♥♥ :) :) :) haha!

Anyway, when I was still LJ-ing(as my LJ friends would say), I used to update almost everyday, making kwentos of whatevers like my kilig moment with Champ (HAHA), how my boring day went, about my not-so-interesting thoughts or whenever I feel depressed or happy. Hahaha! I'm ashamed of what I've written there, that's why I made it all private :)) I missed to blog.. in public! Haha cos just last summer, I started to blog privately, sort of an online diary ;))

Hmm.. so yeah, summer is really over. Get over it. :)) Home works are overflowing. First two days of school are jam-packed with home works already.. I just finished some, more to come! :-S Yay! Good luck, DM! :D I hope this would be a good semester. Yaaay!

It's almost 3am, so it's good marni already! I mean, morning! Hehehe. Peace, Ninya! :D
